Earth Day will officially be observed nationally and globally on Monday, April 22nd, but how you celebrate is all up to you. Even the smallest recognition by every single person would make a huge impact on Earth; show your compassion for Mother Nature with some of the events below:

We will be hosting Earth Day Arts & Crafts on Wednesday, April 17 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Sellers Road Playground. Enjoy this month with some creative arts and crafts with the Earth in mind! After making some new home décor items, enjoy a dinner with your family and neighbors. Dinner will be provided to all those who RSVP ( by Monday, April 15) via Facebook Event Announcement Page or Community Service Website.

The 10th Annual Severna Park Earth Day Festival will be held on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Severna Park Middle School (450 Jumpers Hole Road). Green projects from local schools and businesses; over 5o0 exhibitors and professional Green companies; rain barrels, composter, and trees for sale; exotic and adoptable animals; “Shred-It” truck and more.

Green Drinks Annapolis on Earth Day at The Rockfish (400 Sixth Street) from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.! This event coincides with Annapolis Beer Week and Green Drinks is one of the week’s events — featuring organically made or local beers — and Annapolis Green is one of the benefiting non-profits! Free, no RSVP required. Cash bar.

The 3rd Annual Earth, Water and Faith Festival is scheduled from Sunday, April 28, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Annapolis Towne Center (Solomon’s Island Road at Route 2). This will be a family-oriented, interfaith Celebration of Earth Day featuring live music, faith readings and reflections, interactive educational exhibits, activities for kids and more.

We hope you all can make it to some of Annapolis’ many Earth Day events!
