Free With Admission to the Chesapeake Children’s Museum Near Annapolis: ‘Art and Story Time’ Workshops for Toddlers and Preschoolers

November 12, 2015

The Chesapeake Children's Museum opened its doors in November 2002 with the mission to "create an environment of discovery about oneself, the peoples, the technologies, and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay area for all our children and for the children in us all." This goal is upheld through the museum's kid-friendly, interactive exhibits, which spark budding imaginations and vary in subject matter from the human body, theater, and outer space to transportation, construction, and live animals.

There's another reason to visit this museum near Annapolis, however. Namely, its frequent workshops, which are targeted toward toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and their parents and caregivers. One such workshop is called Art and Story Time, and it takes place every Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Free with museum admission ($4 for visitors 1 year old and up), the one-hour workshop invites kids 2 to 5 to participate in arts and crafts activities centering around children's literature.
