Do Some Good This Thanksgiving at the Empty Bowls Dinner on November 16
November 9, 2017
This Thanksgiving season, do some good for the less fortunate in the community by participating in the Empty Bowls Dinner at South River High School. This international organization aims to showcase the struggles that many people face in order to put food on the table for their families.
The Empty Bowls Dinner takes place on Thursday, November 16th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in South River High School's cafeteria. You'll get to enjoy soups from a variety of local restaurants, including Chevy's Fresh Mex, Panera Bread, The Fresh Market and many others. Free beverages will be provided and dessert will be available for an additional cost. The event is meant to simulate how the poor often do not get a full meal, so do not expect to leave with a full stomach. If you'd like to donate additional money, there will also be silent auctions during the event.
