Thinking of applying to military housing? There are a ton of benefits for taking advantage of this military perk, but it may feel confusing when you're going through the application process. Luckily, there are a ton of resources that are here to help. Here's everything you need to know about military housing.
- Some of the perks of military housing include the lack of credit checks or deposits, included utilities, free community events and carefree maintenance.
- In order to qualify for Lincoln Military Housing, you'll need to be active duty military, have at least one accompanying family member, be eligible for Basic Allowance for Housing (or BAH), have orders to one of the installations that the housing area serves, and have six months or more remaining on your current duty assignment.
- In order to apply for military housing you'll need to have a housing application cover sheet, application card, current orders, DD1746, a copy of your Page 2 or DD93, current LES and ID.
- With Lincoln, the Base Housing Office will notify the appropriate payment system to get the BAH activated at the correct time after you return your signed lease.
